About This Service
CTSL provides professional on-site concrete cube sampling services to support accurate strength testing and reliable quality control from the point of pour. Our qualified technicians attend site to take representative concrete samples in accordance with BS EN 12350, helping ensure consistency, compliance and confidence in test results.
When sampling is done correctly at source, testing starts on the right footing.
What Is Concrete Cube Sampling?
Concrete cube sampling involves taking fresh concrete samples on site and preparing test specimens for compressive strength testing. Accurate results depend on representative samples being taken, prepared and cured in accordance with industry requirements.
Our Sampling Process
Our technicians carry out on-site sampling directly from concrete deliveries, following controlled procedures to maintain specimen integrity:
- Fresh concrete sampling from delivery vehicles on site
- Preparation of 150mm/100mm cube moulds
- Layered placement and compaction to remove air voids
- Surface finishing and specimen preparation
- Initial setting and demoulding
- Controlled curing in tanks maintained at 20°C ± 2°C
- Transfer for scheduled compressive strength testing
