What Is Concrete Cube Testing?
Concrete cube testing measures the compressive strength of concrete to confirm that materials used on site meet required design performance and regulatory standards. It is a critical part of quality control and provides assurance that structural concrete performs as intended.
Cube Sizes and Testing
We provide testing for 150mm and 100mm cubes. Once collected, cubes are transported to our laboratory and cured under controlled conditions before testing. Cubes are typically tested in sets of four using standard schedules such as:
- 7, 28, 28 and 56 days
- 7, 14, 28 and 56 days
- Sample collection or drop-off accepted
- Water curing to BS standard conditions
- Compressive strength result in N/mm²
- Written test report issued
- Prompt collection and reporting
